Position Summary
As a technical Sales Engineer at Sidero, you own the technical aspects of the sales cycle—from initial discovery and architecture discussions through proof-of-value execution and technical close. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you’ll work at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Engineering to accelerate deals, remove technical blockers, and ensure customers achieve rapid success with Talos Linux and Omni.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure seamless customer journeys and long-term advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales Support: Lead the technical discovery sessions and product demonstrations for prospective customers. Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact through close. Be the go-to for all technical questions, solutions, recommendations, and insights for the AE lead and client in each engagement. Commit to enterprise deals and support transactional deals.
PoV Planning and Success Criteria: Design and support proof-of-value architectures using Talos Linux and Omni. Work with AE lead to design attainable and Sidero focuses technical success criteria for all PoV engagements.
Technical Sales Advising: Partner with the sales team to develop strategies for technical wins and account growth. Design repeatable and proven technical plays to promote new wins and grow existing accounts. Become technology advisors for clients, not just Sidero solutions architects.
Sales and Product Liaison: Gather and communicate customer feedback to product and engineering teams
Technical Sales Documentation: Create technical content including solution briefs, blog posts, reference architectures, and demo scripts. Creation of content should be targeted to specific clients and templated for quick, repeatable use.
Relationships: Build strong relationships with customer technical teams and become their trusted advisor.
On-site and Events Presence: Travel for customer meetings, conferences, and team gatherings. Present technical information and presentations at client sites when required, deliver talks and workshops at events, and be the technical sales presence at all internal team events requiring sales presence.
Qualifications
- Deep Kubernetes expertise: You live and breathe Kubernetes, with extensive hands-on experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting production clusters.
- Experience with Talos Linux: You are experienced with the best operating system for Kubernetes.
- Kubernetes ecosystem knowledge: Strong understanding of the broader landscape including CNI, CSI, service mesh, GitOps, observability, and security tools
- Technical communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Desire to form genuine and meaningful relationships with clients
- Experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical role
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
