If you love learning, and solving hard problems, you’ll love working here!
Founded in Santa Barbara, California, Sidero Labs has expanded rapidly with team members throughout the world! Here, you’ll get a chance to do challenging work, join a supportive team, and be part of something truly special.
At Sidero Labs, we’re a small (but growing) group of talented people, who are passionate about distributed systems, open source, and clean architecture. We have an active, growing, and involved open source community.
We’re looking for a Developer Advocate to help our community be even more successful. This means building tools and sample code, gathering and sharing developer feedback, and working on events. It may mean assisting with customer deployments and bringing back ideas to make things easier. Or building those ideas into the product. Jumping in to the community chat, helping people out, and improving documentation so others don’t run into the same issues. Writing blogs about the cool things we are doing, or showcasing what our users have done.
Working with other like minded, smart engineers is a great benefit – it feels great to be part of a high-performing team.
If you are smart, know your way around Kubernetes, or the Linux kernel, know a little Go, and are interested in changing the world of distributed systems, we’d like to hear from you. Of course, for this role you need to be social, and like reaching out to people and helping them.
Don’t have all that experience? Fret not! We’re most interested in good developers that enjoy learning, are curious, driven and want to master new things. But – don’t be ordinary. Do you have work experience or GitHub projects which are amazing or relevant to our field? If that sounds like you, apply!
Sidero is a fast moving startup, that is scaling our engineering team as our customers scale. You’ll have the opportunity to work on all sorts of things – network booting, operating system architecture, secure software life cycle, encryption and key management – lots of juicy stuff!
As part of an all remote team, you’ll be highly autonomous but have a big impact. We value results, not time spent at your screen – you get to manage that yourself, and work however, wherever and whenever you want.
We pay competitive salaries, health insurance, and, depending on your location, grant stock options or stock appreciation rights. But you may find that the biggest benefit is the people you’ll get to work with, as well as the culture of responsibility and results.
We know a diverse company is a strong company. The best ideas arise from people of different backgrounds and experiences working together. At Sidero Labs, we work hard to ensure we have a supportive and welcoming workplace. It's good for everyone!
Build amazing things, with amazing people, using the latest technology. If you are driven by learning and solving problems, Sidero Labs is the place where you can feed your interests, work with autonomy, and have an impact!
Everyone at Sidero Labs is an owner - we allocate equity to all full time employees, so everyone has a stake in our future success. You'll work hard, so we want you to reap the rewards.
In the US, we cover 100% of your medical plan, as well as subsidized coverage for dependents. We also offer a confidential Employee Assistance Program with counseling and support services. Dental, Long term care, vision coverage: the list goes on! (Benefits vary for international employees.)
As an all-remote company, remote employees aren't treated as second class citizens. We work hard to make sure we build a sense of belonging and community amongst everyone. When COVID permits, we'll bring everyone physically together for face to face retreats.
We're excited to work at Sidero Labs, and want you to be too! But we know your career is just one part of your life. Whether you're training for a marathon or making it to a school play, we want you to create a schedule that works best for both your professional and personal priorities.
